Chapter Six Response

What was most surprising in this chapter?

As I read this chapter I really thought I knew most of what to do when having to write a research paper. As I read on I soon realized that I didn’t know close to anything I needed to know in order to compose a well thought out well written argumentative research paper. The part I found most surprising was when it said, “ Here are steps to be used to complete a research project” (cda 146). This may not sound as exciting as someone else’s quotes but this stuck out to me because I didn’t know that there were as many steps to be done as the book stated. I was thinking I could just go into this paper beginning with a topic and write everything down that came to mind. I realized that the book had a god point when it said that ideas could get mixed up and weaken your stance on a point. I'm glad I read this chapter because now I can refer back to this whenever I have a question about what order to do my research in.

Going Green Again?

I chose this article because the whole concept of going green really interests me. And after reading Bryans paper, I had a few questions sparked in the back of my mind about how efficient we really are being. In his paper I read about all different ways to conserve energy but none we being done to their full potential. All the ways to conserve energy we not more than 50% efficient. When we are in the pursuit of a bettering environment and a cleaner earth we need to be 100% efficient 100% of the time. This is a possible research topic for me because I am passionate about going green and one topic that really helps this is the bullet train, and I think this could further expand my argument.
